I teach live, blended, and online classes in Writing and Communication. I am the coordinator of the Early Credit High School Program for Writing and Rhetoric. I also facilitate faculty development workshops in project based learning, technology and learning, and digital literacy. I have served as the coordinator and Digital Pedagogy Specialist for the Writing and Rhetoric Production Lab and as coordinator of UnClassroom, a project based learning initiative for the Harrington School of Communication and Media. I am also a faculty member of the URI Harrington School Media Education Laba and co-faculty of the leadership tier of the Summer Institute in Digital Literacy in Providence RI.
Before working at URI, I worked as an advisor at Big Picture Learning's College Unbound in Providence RI. I have taught high school and middle school English and been a middle school administrator. My goal throughout my teaching career has been to make learning relevant to students and their world through project based learning, making connections, and creating relationships.
I am an acoustic rock singer/songwriter and performer.
